Dear Friends:

Maryashie and I (and some of the kids) are taking a great vacation this summer, G-d willing - and we'd love you to join us. Luxurious accommodations, great cuisine, splendid relaxation and a reasonable cost - all without having to get on airplane. We're heading down to the Hyatt Regency in Reston, Virginia for a nice mid-August break at the National Jewish Retreat (now in its fifth year).

Here's why we're going:

- Gorgeous hotel. The Hyatt Regency is a combination of beautiful design, attentive service and livable luxury. There is a fitness facility, indoor pool, roman spa and saunas.

- The variety of speakers. The dynamic lectures and interactive workshops are delivered by experts in their fields, and there is so much to explore. Here’s a small sampling: Meditation and Prayer, The Global Economic Crisis, Religion and Morality, Learning to Like the People You Love, Kabbalah-based Mind techniques to deal with everyday stress, a walk through 350 years of American Jewish history, The Sacred and the Sexual, Famous Jewish Cases in American Courts, Love and Intimacy and the Meaning of Life, The Iranian Nuclear Threat, How Shabbos Has Kept the Jews, Secrets From Kabbalah for Eternal Relationships, and much more.

- Exquisite cuisine and pleasant environment. We'll be in the nice company of men and women from communities just like ours and we'll enjoy some entertaining programs: Glass Harpist Jamey Turner, Singer Avraham Fried in concert and a comedy show with Marc Weiner.

- Good child care. With the children in the responsible and safe hands of the on-site Camp Gan Israel, parents are free to relax and enjoy.

- Proximity and nearby attractions. Reston is a 5 hour drive from CT and it's also just outside of DC. We plan on spending some time with the kids before, during or after the Retreat enjoying the sites of our capital.

- Cost. $1299 pp all inclusive is an incredible deal: $400 for 5 days of dining, another $400 for 5 nights at a luxury hotel and $499 for such a comprehensive program – if you come for the extended weekend, it's only $850.

Wouldn't it be nice to spend some time together in this virtual "paradise" - come for the extended weekend or for the full 5 day program. Sign up at jretreat.com. We'd love to go with you!

Sincerely,

Rabbi Yossi and Maryashie
